About Us

The beginning!

Ross and Rachel Lindholm met while attending college in northern Minnesota.Originally from Westminster MD, Rachel went to school to complete her bachelors degree in animal science. Ross, originally from central MN completed his degree in natural resources. They were married in June of 2015 in Ely, Minnesota.

Growing up in the animal world

Growing up in Maryland, Rachels family raised Australian Shepherds which she competed in multiple dog venues with from the time she was 6 years old. She began showing in Junior Showmanship in ASCA events and then went on to competing in 4H, as well as AKC, USDAA, and NADAC events. The major events she competed in were agility, obedience, rally and comformation.

With her family being active in both the competition venues and rescue, as well as her farming background and degree, Rachels love for ranch bred dogs really grew.

Ross grew up raising and showing dairy goats and got to know several stock dogs throughout that time on neighboring farms. Because of this, he knew just how helpful a well trained dog could be to a farmer working alone.

Today

Today we live on a farm in northern Minnesota with our dogs along with horses, farm cats, sheep, cattle and various poultry. Our dogs enjoy running the farm with us, trips to the lake, trail riding with the horses, camping trips and lots more! Our dogs are used regularly to work our sheep and cattle but in their down time they are well loved (spoiled!) family pets. While mainly our dogs are used to work and manage our flock and herd at home, we also attend clnics with many organizations and trial currently in ASCA(on sheep, ducks, and cattle) and USBCHA on sheep. Ontop of working our own dogs, we host a few clinics a year too!
